Should you sell to the right family, or for more money?

Picture this: you sell your home during a frenzied sellers market. You receive multiple offers. Amazing! The top offer is quite a bit higher than the second-best offer, but the second offer comes with an emotional letter from the buyer. It really resonates and you feel like they’re the perfect family to take over your home. They remind you of yourselves when you bought this very same home years ago. You love the idea of them living there, but is it worth giving up the extra money?

That’s exactly what happened in this case. The sellers were torn. They went back and forth in their minds.

Both offers were great, but we wanted to make sure we got the sellers a deal they were really happy with. In the end, we put it back to the top two and ended up landing with the family for almost the same price as the top offer.
